place on your hard drive. For Hedgehog, we place a unique identifier
so that when you put something in your cart, we can keep track of

of you who may be worried about security issues, cookies do not
compromise privacy. We are not collecting any other information
from you other than what we put on your system. Neither do
you have to worry about other sites collecting information from
our cookies which can only be used for their intended purpose -
to help you shop at Hedgehog Books.
Is
your browser set to receive cookies?
Here's how
to check:
AOL 8.0 Browser Users
- Go to the Control Panel
- Choose Internet Options, and click the Privacy tab.
- Click the Advanced Button
- Highlight the button that says 'Always Allow Session Cookies'
- Click OK twice and exit the Control Panel.
Other AOL Browser Users
- Select My AOL.
- Choose WWW, and click the Security tab.
- Go to Custom Level, find "Cookie," and click "Enable."
- Click OK

Internet
Explorer 6.x
- On the Tools dropdown menu, select Internet Options.
- In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Privacy Tab.
- Move the Security slider to the Medium level or lower
and click OK.
Internet
Explorer 5.x
Mac Users:
- Click on Edit,
then select Preferences.
- Scroll down to
Receiving Files and press the triangle to see the options there.
Click on Cookies.
- In the "When
receiving cookies" field, either select "Never Ask"
or "Ask for each site."
PC Users:
- Pull down Tools
at the top of the browser.
- Select Internet
Options
- Choose the Security
Tab at the top
- Click on the Custom
Level button.
- Scroll down until
you see 'Allow Cookies that are Stored'
- Click 'enable'
or 'prompt'
- Scroll down a
litte further to 'Allow per session Cookies'
- Click 'enable'
or 'prompt'
- Click OK and OK
to exit the configuration.
Netscape
Navigator 5.x or later
- Pull down Edit
at the top of the browser.
- Select Preferences
- Pull down 'Privacy
and Security'
- Click on Cookies.
- Choose either
'Enable all cookies' or 'Enable cookies for the originating website
only.'
- Click OK to exit
configuration.
Internet
Explorer 4.x
Mac Users:
- Click on
View then select Internet Options.
- Select
the Advanced tab.
- Scroll
down till you see the Security section.
- Look for
the Cookies Section.
- Make sure
that radio button that says 'Always accept cookies' is selected.
Netscape
Navigator 4.x
Mac Users:
- Click on
the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Click on
the Advanced tab.
- Find the
Cookies Section.
- Make sure
that radio button that says 'Accept all cookies' is selected.
PC Users:
- Pull down Edit
at the top of the browser.
- Select Preferences
- Click on the word
'Advanced' in the left window
- Choose either
'Accept all cookies' or 'Warn Me'
- Click OK to exit
