How does online shopping work at Hedgehog Books?
Shopping at Hedgehogbooks.com is easy! If you see an item you'd like to purchase, click on the 'Buy Me' icon and it will be added to your cart. You can add as many items as you like and when you're ready to purchse them, click 'Checkout' if you're in the cart, or the 'View Cart/Checkout' button on the left side of the page (and then 'Checkout') from any other page. We keep your cart active for 6 days so you can go away and come back any time, and the books you selected will still be there. Payment options are discussed below.

Books disappearing from your cart? You probably don't have your browser (e.g. Netscape or Internet Explorer) cookies turned on. You need this to shop at Hedgehog (and most other sites). For more information on cookies and how to turn them on, click here. If you need to get these books back or you need help turning on cookies, email our techie and he'll send you an email with links to the books that disappeared.

Secure Payment Methods
First, a word about security: Hedgehogbooks.com uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the latest technology to protect your private information. All purchase transactions are encrypted to keep them from prying eyes. When you enter your credit card information, it is sent to your bank for authorization and we never even see your credit card number. It is not recorded in our files anywhere, either electronic or on paper. As such, you can rest assured that it is perfectly safe to use a credit card at Hedgehogbooks.com. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal (which supports non-credit card payments).

That said, if you are still reluctant to use a credit card on our site, or you don't have a credit card, you can still shop at Hedgehogbooks.com as follows:

Shopping without a Credit Card

• You can use PayPal. At www.PayPal.com, you can sign up to do electronic payments. If you register your checking account with them, you can write an electronic check to HedgehogBooks when you check out by clicking on the PayPal button on the Hedgehog final checkout/payment page.
• You can print the final checkout page with the list of books you want to order (and shipping costs) and send it to us with a check.
• You can give us your credit card information over the phone. Just drop us an email with a good time to call and we'll save you the long distance charges by calling you!
• If you're a school or library, you can print the cart or checkout invoice with the list, prices and totals for the books you'd like, and send us a Purchase Order on School or Library letterhead, or you can ask us for a quote with discount.
